Jamir

Hello! Feel free to look through some of my example photography or read some notes I've left

About Me

I'm Jamir, a student, cosplayer, photographer, and an all-around nerd! Originally, I'm from Washington DC, but right now, I call Pittsburgh my home.

Currently, my main focus is on creating opportunities for both costume and non-costume photography. I'm on a journey to expand my photography portfolio while discovering my unique style.

I consider myself an intermediate photographer, always eager to learn and grow in this field. I'm enthusiastic about pursuing exciting new photoshoot opportunities and am equally open to refining the fundamentals.

Feel free to explore some snippets of the events I've attended and my thoughts on how I strive to blend my passions for all things nerdy with my love for photography.

Cosplay Photography

I've been cosplaying since 2016, and I've been an active part of both the physical and online anime communities for years. Over time, I've accumulated a vast wealth of character knowledge and expertise in striking different poses. I've even had the opportunity to share my insights by hosting panels on crafting props that not only look great in photos but also facilitate easy posing.

Portrait Photography

My journey in photography began in 2018 when I started capturing moments at graduations, birthdays, events, and spontaneous group gatherings. I've also ventured into candid photography during photo walks. More recently, I've delved into isolated photoshoots and honed my skills through a dedicated class that covered the nuances of portraiture. This education has equipped me to excel in both professional presentations and contemporary artistic expression.

CONVENTIONS

Aside from hall shots and special events, I also take photos at photo meetups for all to use. I try to keep a running list of the meetups here, but please allow 5 to 10 days for the upload to happen.

Please keep in mind that these are unedited non-deliverables. I have not put any work into processing them besides framing, lighting, focusing, and pressing the button. They do not reflect the quality of delivered or compensated work.
